Internship Position – Semantic Web (DERI, Ireland)

The Unit for eBusiness at the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI: http://www.deri.ie/) of the National University of Ireland, Galway invites applications for 3/6 months internship positions.

The DERI Unit for eBusiness focuses on the investigation of Semantic Web/Linked Data approaches within organizations in the key areas of semantic query/search models over Linked Data, entity reconciliation, data quality, data visualization and interaction, complex event processing, provenance and standards-based financial and sustainability reporting . Research is performed in collaboration with other DERI units and industrial partners.

Requirements:

(Mandatory)

  • The candidate should be registered Master’s or PhD student in computer science, applied mathematics, or similar. Outstanding undergraduate candidates will also be considered.
  • Experience with implementation work preferably in Java, Python or C++.
  • Personal initiative, creativity and ability to effectively work in a team.

(Desired)

  • Web applications development.
  • Basic knowledge of Semantic Web technologies.
